The Essex Firefighter's Association is a non-profit organization that supports members of our department, along with various community support projects. Examples include providing food during long calls or training, or at blood drives; scholarships; purchasing life-saving equipment, uniforms and clothing, and other items or services voted on as being needed by our members. These funds supplement beyond what is received from municipal taxes. The Association accepts donations from anyone wishing to support our members, and in turn emergency services for Essex and neighboring communities. We greatly appreciate your support!
Mission Statement
Provide support services to our fire department and community. Through fundraising efforts and community outreach we pledge to assist the members of the Essex Fire Department in achieving their highest potential and to be a community fire service resource. The Essex Firefighters Association promotes fire prevention and values each firefighter’s service, loyalty, and dedication to the Essex fire service.
Purpose
Pursuant to the By-Laws and Articles of The Essex Firefighters Association, the “Association” is organized exclusively for one or more of the purposes as specified in the mission statement. Membership is comprised of all members in good standing of the Essex Fire Department. Each year the membership elects new officers and directors. On the first Monday of each month, a meeting of the board, officers and membership is held.
